Art 3 students are putting the final touches on their first set of murals, and they're already gearing up for their next project which will be in our gym! Mr. Borntreger's math class is digging deep into real-life data analysis! Students explored the relationship between sleep and screen time by creating scatter plots to investigate if there's a correlation between hours of sleep and time spent on phones. Their preliminary findings suggest that more data is needed to determine a definite connection. Over the last few weeks, 7th graders have been working on identifying prepositions and prepositional phrases. A good way to remember what a preposition is - anything a paper airplane can do when being thrown such as fly THROUGH the sky or bounce off OF a wall. The students further solidified their learning by making and throwing paper airplanes before writing their own sentences about their planes using prepositional phrases.
