What do you do with cilantro? You make salsa of course!
Growing Beyond Earth is a classroom-based citizen science project operated in partnership with NASA, designed to advance NASA research on growing plants in space. Our 6th grade STEM students collected data on the growth of Cilantro and Basil to test its viability and ability to grow in a simulated ISS (International Space Station) growth chamber. After we gathered all of our data and submitted it to NASA, we celebrated & ate salsa!
