The National Night Out Back to School Bash event scheduled for August 1st, presented by the Claremore Police Dept. (CPD) and Healthy Community Partnership, has been postponed. Due to the high temperatures forecasted for this week, they have decided to reschedule this year’s event to October 3rd. The plan is to have the same event with an expectation of cooler temperatures. Where's Mrs. Bart this summer? She and 14 other 👨🏼🏫teachers👩🏼🏫 from across the state are spending their summer participating in a STEM Teacher Fellowship program with American Fidelity. The program gives teachers an opportunity to spend the summer with a corporate technology team gaining first-hand experience in the IT setting as well as networking with other teachers while learning knowledge and skills that they can then take back to their classrooms to help students prepare for technology-based careers!

Mrs. Rahn got her book, "Never Panic Early", autographed by author and astronaut Fred Haise. He is an Apollo 13 astronaut who graduated from OU. When asked how to better prepare our students for careers in STEM he said teach them teamwork, problem solving skills and critical thinking!
