Distance Learning Days... a game changer for "snow days"! Teachers posted assignments, hosted google meets video calls for students, and communicated with their students on how to do assignments during the snow day. In Mrs. Newbury's High School Physical Science class, students created paper cars to protect eggs in a crash! Students then analyzed and discussed the factors contributing to the success or failure of their designs. What a creative way to explore concepts related to physics and engineering! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

It's WRJH's WARM WINTER DONATION DRIVE! ☀ The warm winter donation drive is the perfect way to show some love and compassion to those in our community in need during these cold months! We are looking for new gloves, hats, and socks, essential items for keeping warm. And we are doing a contest for the class with the most donations! A school field trip to the Will Rogers Memorial Museum was a real eye - opener for one of Mrs. Esau's students. After strolling through the exhibits and learning all about Will Rogers' life as a cowboy, humorist, and entertainer, Caleb Elliott decided he wanted to be like Will! He visited the museum again with family and not only did he like it even more, the museum thought he was pretty special, too! So much that they put him and his story in one of their brochures! Who knows, maybe he will inspire other young people to visit the museum and learn about Will Rogers' legacy! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

How do you incorporate a fitness routine into PE class during the holidays? By doing the 12 days of FITMAS! 💪🏼 Students in PE did jumps, planks, lunges and squats- all with a festive twist! Doing burpees to the beat of "Jingle Bells" and lunges to "Deck the Halls" kept students engaged and motivated during the last month of the semester! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Talk about a Physics experiment! Mrs. Newbury's Physical Science class recreated Newton's Cradle- that classic desk toy with the metal balls that swing back and forth- but with BOWLING BALLS! That is some next- level science! And using Newton's laws of motion, they saw firsthand how kinetic energy transfers from one ball to the next and eventually come to a stop due to friction. Here's hoping no one got bowled over in this experiment! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
