WRJH had a special guest, Buffy Coleman from the Harlem Wizards! Mr. Coleman spoke to the students about bullying- something very important! He also showcased his skills on the court and showed students how to do some of those tricks, too!

Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year is now open!
All families must complete enrollment every year. Enrollment may be completed entirely online, and we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer to enroll. If you do not have access to a computer, or if you need enrollment assistance, the CPS Enrollment Center has computers and scanners available and will be happy to help. They are open daily from 8a - 4p (arrive by 3:30p).
You are now able to enroll your current students for the 2023-2024 school year by accessing the student records portal through this link https://ok.wengage.com/claremore.
Please watch the video instructions or follow the written instructions to update the necessary information and complete the 2024 school year enrollment. This applies to current and new students.

Is Baseball like the US Army? Our baseball players got to hear first hand how the two are similar!
First Sergeant Christopher Long came and spoke to the JH Baseball team this morning. He talked about Army values and how they correlate to the game of baseball.

Has it been a VERY long winter? Our students think so! With warmer weather, students enjoyed a day outside and were very interested in a new "classmate" they met in the field! He didn't seem to want to come back to class, though, so he went on his way!

When you swing on a swing set, do you go higher when you swing faster? What about if you push a door as hard as you can, will it open? What are forces causing this?
Newton's laws of motion relate an object's motion to the forces acting on it. In Mrs. Hammack's class, students are studying Newton’s laws of motion. They built their own Newton’s cradles out of hot glue, popsicle sticks, marbles, beads, and string.

What do you do when you need a brain break? GO OUTSIDE!
Mrs. Wiley's students played a game where students stood in a circle. One student said a word then the next student had to say the previously stated word and a new word and continue this around the circle. It was fun for the kids to get out of the classroom!

We will have an informational meeting for students interested in playing basketball next year and their parents. This will be for those entering the 7th and 8th grades for the 2023-24 school year. In order to accommodate busy schedules and give
everyone a chance to attend we will have two options.

In Mrs. Newbury’s High School Physical Science class students got to make mixtures and define their properties as part of an introduction to their semester of Chemistry. They will be ready for High School Chemistry classes!
