What causes a mountain range? Or a deep trench in the ocean floor? Students are learning all about tectonic plates and what happens when two plates come together. This is known as a convergent boundary. When plates collide, the impact can cause them to buckle and create a mountain, or bend into a trench. What a great model of a tectonic plate boundary!

What do I love about being a counselor at WRJH? Mrs. Martin, our 6th and 8th grade counselor, says that getting to know the Zebra family, students, faculty and families, then seeing the growth that comes from challenges makes each day unique.
We are happy you are here, Mrs. Martin! Happy National School Counselor Week!

The 1st Hot Air Balloon was launched in 1783, if you want to know who was on board...just ask Mrs. Rahn's STEM students. Hint: it was NOT the French Montgolfier brothers who built it!
After learning about the aerodynamics of hot air balloons and the forces (lift, drag, thrust & weight) with its interactions, students teamed up to build and launch their own balloons.
What a great way to enjoy a nice COLD winter day!
