Join us for 7th Grade PARENT NIGHT on Tuesday, May 10, at 6pm. Parents will get information about the upcoming school year and the Caring Van will be in our parking lot from 3pm-6pm to give immunizations💉 to students who need the tDap shot. All students MUST have the tDap shot before they can start their 7th grade school year.

Art students in Mrs. Roach's class did self portraits inspired by Kehinde Wiley. He is an American portrait painter in New York City, who is known for his naturalistic paintings.

In Mrs. Simpson's Science class, students created models of cells via different options. Students made posters, cakes, different types of 3D models, students even created advertisements! This is Mrs. Simpson's favorite project of the year. Students always come up with the most creative way to display their cells!

Cherokee Nation donated the funds for our registration to compete in the VEX World Robotics Tournament May 2-7 in Dallas, Texas! We are so excited to compete and thankful to The Cherokee Nation!

Do you know what a Ukranian Easter egg is? Mrs. Brunjes- Hall's art class can tell you!
A pysanka is a Polish-Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional folk designs using a wax-resist method. Instead of wax, the students used plaster! The dyes used to decorate pysanky also have symbolic meanings. Red is the sun or life or joy. As you can see, this egg has lots of red!
What an interesting lesson!

Do you know what the Industrial Revolution was?
Students are learning about the Industrial Revolution this week in Coach Dexter's Class! One activity they did to help them learn was a drawing activity where they start with a quite rural village and as the activity progresses they eventually have a bustling modern city full of factories!
