Our 6th grade RSU Cultural Day field trip was a success! After the rain started, we had a change of venue, but still learned lots and had a great time! Thank you to Ron Parris and Claremore Community Center for the last minute move! Our fearless volunteers, Claremore Pocahontas Club for serving us lunch, Cherokee Nation, Keith Austin, and Cherokee Nation Fish and Wildlife.

It's National Speech Pathologist Day and we have a great one! Mrs. Heather Edwards joined WRJH this year and has done a great job working with our students!
What does she love about her job? "What I love most is seeing my students become confident. Whether it’s saying sounds correctly, successfully following oral directions, or writing a paragraph with proficiency, seeing them gain confidence brings me the upmost joy!"

It’s StarBOOKS day in Mrs. Mercer's class! 📚☕
Students are “tasting” seven different books by reading a summary and evaluating the first few pages in chapter 1.
After they’ve “sampled” each book, they get to choose which one they want to read for their upcoming Book Clubs!
Of course, it wouldn’t be Starbooks without a mini muffin and pink lemonade treats!

Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year is now open!
All families must complete enrollment every year. Enrollment may be completed entirely online, and we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer to enroll. If you do not have access to a computer, or if you need enrollment assistance, the CPS Enrollment Center has computers and scanners available and will be happy to help. They are open daily from 8a - 4p (arrive by 3:30p).
You are now able to enroll your current students for the 2023-2024 school year by accessing the student records portal through this link https://ok.wengage.com/claremore.
Please watch the video instructions or follow the written instructions to update the necessary information and complete the 2024 school year enrollment. This applies to current and new students.

Coach Dexter's class is learning about the Industrial Revolution! As a part of that we played the Urban game where students are given tiny pieces of paper to draw small country villages that over the course of the game turn into booming metropolises with factories, railroads, and coal mines! It helps show students just how fast the world changed during the Industrial Revolution.
