This week in Coach Dexter's History class they are learning about the Great Triumvirate of Senators John C. Calhoun, Henry Clay, and Daniel Webster all shaped our nation over thirty years of service. The three of them work together and are referred to as the Great Triumvirate!
Students worked with a partner reading a biography of one of the three people and then were paired off into their own Triumvirate and discussed each of the biographies.

📚 THANK YOUR LIBRARIAN TODAY 📚
“A library is a good place to go when you feel unhappy, for there, in a book, you may find encouragement and comfort. A library is a good place to go when you feel bewildered or undecided, for there, in a book, you may have your question answered. Books are good company, in sad times and happy times, for books are people - people who have managed to stay alive by hiding between the covers of a book." [Letters of Note; Troy (MI, USA) Public Library, 1971]
― E.B. White
It's National Library Workers Day and we can't think of any better way to celebrate than to visit your school librarian and check out a book. I know they will have a recommendation for whatever you want to feel between the pages of a good book.
THANK YOU!!!

Mrs. Steffey's class was in the Odyssey of the Mind competition. It is STEM with emphasis on creativity & humor. The teams learn practical skills, cooperation, creativity, and problem solving. They must solve complex problems that meet given criteria and are limited by given constraints. Teams apply the scientific method to solve problems over many months. Claremore has a vehicle team (problem 1) and a performance team (problem 5) this year.
What a fun competition!

✨NEW TEACHER FEATURE✨
My name is Mrs. Marlow-Fuson. I am currently teaching 6th and 7th grade geography. I graduated from Tahlequah High School in 2012. I attended the University of Central Oklahoma and graduated with a bachelors in History, bachelors in Political Science, and a masters in Public Administration. Before working at WRJH, I was a Historic Preservation specialist for FEMA. I have been married to my husband Devin since 2015. We have two boys. Gabriel is 5 and Ezra is 21 months. My hobbies include quilting, gardening and doing puzzles! What I like most about CPS is seeing the student growth throughout the school year. My coworkers are pretty awesome too!

It's Winter Olympics in Mrs. Rahn's STEM Class!🎿
Students researched what makes a fast bobsled design and built their bobsleds using specific criteria. Each team had to represent a country and the country's flag had to be incorporated into the design. The sleds were timed as they raced down a 10 meter track. We had gold, silver and bronze medalists! We also had a "best overall" award!
