Happy New Year from Claremore Public Schools. As we enter into a new year, we all seem to take time to reflect on our lives, habits, choices from the past and contemplate how they impact our future. This reflection can lead to new inspiration, goals, resolutions, or a new focus. Instead of adding to it, some consideration may lead to removing obstacles or habits from our lives. Either way, we are all looking for a positive change. Whether you choose a resolution, a goal, a word - we'd love for you to share it with us on our FB page and maybe inspire others. Remember: Our students return on Tuesday, January 4th. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

How do you get a History lesson in Math class? Ms. Phariss' class can tell you! The students are doing a scavenger hunt involving historic mathematicians. This exposes them to a cross-curricular activity with history and math. Every mathematician has a question to solve and a different mathematician contains the answer! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Hall's Art classes made ornaments this year! Students use a cardboard house form. First, they cut plaster strips and dip them in hot water. Then, they smooth the plaster onto the house form and add a hook at the top. The house form sets overnight. Students sketch in the designs they want and paint them. What a great Christmas present for parents! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Students in Mrs. Simpson's class have been learning about weathering, erosion, and deposition. They had a choice board to show that they understood the material. Some students wrote stories, wrote poems, comic books, raps, created games, crossword puzzles, and skits. What a fun way to get students engaged! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Students in Mrs. Naegele's class are designing a “card stunt” for the next G. E. assembly at Will Rogers Junior High. The students will use what they know about factors, multiples and the layout of the gym to create a card stunt for classmates to perform. Each card will contain part of a picture or message that reflects our school creed. Each volunteer will hold up one of the cards so the group will form a complete message. What a great way to learn and be a part of something! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
