Mrs. T took her GT students to Battle of the Brains in Inola, where they went head-to-head with other local schools in an epic academic showdown! 🔥💡
A huge CONGRATS to Avery Brown, who placed 6th overall and earned a spot on the podium! 🎉👏 How cool is that?!

Our 5th graders had an unforgettable experience at Link Up, a one-of-a-kind interactive event hosted by our local symphony orchestra! 🎻🎺🥁
This amazing program, created by Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute, gives students the chance to not just listen to a professional orchestra—but perform with them! 🎼👏 Leading up to the event, students learned songs, dances, and even how to play along on instruments like recorders. Then, at the concert, they got to join in live as the orchestra played!
From clapping and singing to playing and moving with the music, our students were fully immersed in the magic of symphonic sound. 🌟🎶 What an incredible way to experience music in action!

Last week Mrs. Hall shared with us,
"One of my favorite memories from school was learning about oobleck and reading Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss! So of course I had to make that a core memory for my class!"
Mrs. Hall's 1st grade class made predictions and noted their observations after their science experiment with oobleck! They got a little messy but it was worth it.

Parent-teacher conferences are tonight, which means it’s time to eat!
A huge thank you to our very own Child Nutrition Office for catering this meal. Mary and our amazing cafeteria crew put together the cutest baked potato bar, complete with perfectly cooked potatoes, homemade chili, and all the toppings. They even made us cookies!!!

Our last day of Read Across America was a good one!! We dressed like Cowboys and more wonderful guest readers.
Some sweet kids from RSU Track and Cross Country team came and read to all 4th and 5th graders. Mrs. Shuck and Mrs. Basks both read to some classes and Cowboy Bart came and read to some little buckaroos!!! Mrs. Geranen’s son, grandson and daughter n law came for some baby snuggles and read to her class!!!
What a fun week. We appreciate all our guest readers that came this week!! The kids LOVED it!
