🦓❤️STAFF SPOTLIGHT! ❤️🦓 Mrs. Meyers, paraprofessional •Favorite food: Chips & salsa, salads, hamburgers •Favorite Color: green, orange, pink •Drink: Dr. P, water, peach tea •Birthday: Aug 20 (the first day of school! ahh!!)  •Hobby: gardening, singing, cheering on OSU, and chauffeuring my kids to all their things!  •How do you spend your summer: Hanging out with family and friends, swimming, lots of birthday parties (4/5 members of my family have summer birthdays). I love a beach vacation but this year we are going to the North Pole to see Santa!  I have been married to Jake since 2013 (married on Friday the 13th in Las Vegas) and have three daughters (a kindergartener, 2nd grader, and 4th grader). We moved to Claremore in 2017 from Stillwater. I have been a Zebra mom since 2019 and started as a para at Catalayah last year!  I love traveling and sightseeing. My favorite spots right now are Boston and Napa Valley. I also like to take Oklacations and be a tourist in my own state. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

IT'S NATIONAL MASCOT DAY!!!! Claremore High School football team became known as the “Zebras” in the 1920s when the football received new stripped jerseys; at one of the games, a spectator noted that “they look like a bunch of zebras,” and the name stuck. Did you know those first stripes uniforms were purple and gold...... In 1930 the superintendent of schools Homer C. Heard was trying to keep costs down when it came time to order new uniforms again. He faced the economic situation by ordering cheaper red shirts and white khaki pants. Red and white remain as Claremore's school colors today. The Zebra has been a mainstay. Mascots like the Tigers and the Cardinals and the Eagles can be found all over the sports landscape. Claremore is the ONLY school in Oklahoma with a Zebra Mascot!! It's a Great day to be a ZEBRA!!!!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Zebra Stripes Summer Camp The Zebra Stripes Summer Day Care Program is held during the summer season. Our program focuses on providing exceptional care for kindergarten through fifth grade. (Pre-K enrolment is accepted on a case-by-case basis.) The program will offer age-appropriate activities to provide the children with social, emotional, and physical development. Before we left for Summer Break we were able to celebrate Mrs. Hall!! Mrs. Hall has retired after 18 wonderful years of blessing our little ones with her love and passion! After 18 years of inspiring young minds and nurturing a passion for STEM and computing, her dedication and expertise has left an indelible mark on countless students. Her retirement marks the end of an era, but the impact of your teaching will continue to resonate for years to come. Mrs. Hall spent her 18 years at CUE, Catalayah and Westside. Every year at the end of State Testing Mrs. Shuck likes to reward the students with a pizza party!!!! When testing was over all 3rd-5th grade students got to enjoy some pizza and a juice!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
