5th grade received some new board games. They were able to use these games during WIN time. The board games focus on Main Idea, Context Clues, and Vocabulary. The kids really enjoyed them! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

I stopped by to check on our 5th graders!!! They were working on math sheets and..... learning to write checks!!!! Biztown is coming soon!! Have you ever been to Biztown? It's such a cool place. This popular learning experience allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. Students are able to connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

ICE CREAM DAY!!! Students can purchase Ice Cream for $1.00 after they finish their lunch. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Our AMAZING PTO rolled out the Woot Woot Wagon this morning!!! They not only supplied a wonderful breakfast for our teachers and staff but the woot woot wagon came directly to their classroom!!! Our 3rd grade students took a field trip to the Will Rogers Memorial. The kids learned about Will Rogers, and they met a real children’s author. He donated a copy of his book to our school and he also did some rope tricks for everyone. We also watched magic show at the memorial and listened to most amazing storyteller. Have you ever had the chance of listening to a story from Robert Lewis?? He is the best. If you ever get the chance to listen to him you better take it!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Newmans kindergarten class has been learning about Bears all week. What better way to finish out the week then to bring our teddy bears from home to join us for the day. Our teddy bears have loved their day in kindergarten!! They have helped us with our work and enjoyed meeting our friends. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
