Mrs. Cole's pre-k classes have been learning about space for the last couple of weeks. From the eclipse to the planets and earth, there are so many things to learn. Since earth day is around the corner, they are learning about recycling. They have already completed two recycling projects this year. The first one was our baskets, and the second was reusing a play-doh cup to plant our pumpkin seeds in. They saved the seeds from their pumpkins they carved last October, and they are already sprouting! This will begin their lesson on plant life cycles.

In Mrs. Griffins 1st grade win groups, they are learning about why we have different seasons. While focusing on each season, they are reading poems about them, and then writing about their favorite things in each season. These lessons teach science, reading, and writing.

Students have been learning about song form and structure in music. This week music and PE combined to listen to the finale to the William tell overture and labeled each part. After correctly labeling we assigned movements to each part with the parachute. These are the pictures from this activity.

They earned this award by having perfect attendance. Everyone in the class had to be not only present for the day but on time!!
