It's National Bus Driver Appreciation Day!!!
Catalayah has 5 buses that come everyday. On Elementary Bus Appreciation Day, let's give a big shout-out to the real MVPs of the morning grind – the bus drivers who turn chaos into a mobile haven of learning and laughter! Their daily journey is a mix of navigation skills, kid diplomacy, and a sprinkle of magic to keep the wheels turning with smiles intact.
We appreciate our Bus drivers and want to make sure they know we love them!!!
Don't forget the guys behind the scenes. Brandon and Kevin do such a great job of keeping things running!

Mrs. Galvan's class were able to build remote control robots in the Innovation Lab with Mrs. Hall.
Snap Circuits® teaches basic engineering, electronics and circuitry concepts by using building components with snaps to assemble electronic circuits on a simple “rows-and-columns” base grid. They had so much fun building your own Elenco Snap Rover Robot Kit using the colorful Snap Circuit parts that come with this kit. Once completed, they were able to navigate your surroundings with the easy-to-use Snap Rover remote control.

Kindness Week!!!
All of our classes did such a great job spreading kindness.
Here are a few examples:
Mrs. T and her GT classes wrote cards to Veterans at the Claremore Veterans Center.
Ms. Toop's and Ms. Cummings had her class write letters to staff members letting them know how special they are.
Mrs. Ritter's class wrote cards for Air Force Reserves who are going to be deployed soon.
Our 1st grade made cute cards for everyone in the building and delivered them with a sweet hug!!!

This morning we were able to celebrate 2 special ladies!!!!
It's Ms. Sam's last day with us. She is moving on to a new adventure and we sure will miss her.
Ms. Phyllis is having a Birthday on Monday. Since we will be out of school on Monday we wanted to celebrate her today!!!! We love our Ms. Phyllis and wish her a very happy weekend!!

Ms. Henry and Mrs. Rahn went to Houston to Johnson Space Center for an amazing conference last week.
She went on the floor of Mission Control with Astronaut Col. Nicole Mann. Got to see Astronaut Loral O’Hara who is currently on the ISS, doing an interview and also met astronaut Jessica Mier who was working in Mission Control today and Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano! Such an amazing experience! Thank Col. John Rahe for making this happen!
*Some of these astronauts were in the education field/profession at some point before their NASA career.
Ms. Henry presented a lesson about Astronaut Roosa and Moon Trees! (Made possible by NASA OKSG) Along with getting help from her assistants and current NASA OKSG participants, Gary and Briley!
