On the 19th we participated in Unity Day.
Unity Day is an annual event occurring during National Bullying Prevention Month that promotes joining together to create healthier communities through kindness, acceptance of difference, and inclusion. It was started by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011 and is now celebrated around the world.

Our Carnival is coming!!! We have some really cool baskets for the silent auction. Plan to join us on October 27th, 5:30.

Our AMAZING PTO provided dinner for our teachers and staff for parent/teacher conferences last night!!! We had the best baked potato bar with salad and dessert that was SOOOOO GOOD!!

Mrs. Casey’s 2nd grade class has been integrating their iPad tasks into our day. They worked in Lalilo their phonics based program and today they worked in Boom Cards on skills they’re currently learning.😊

Registration ends Oct. 31 for YBOC basketball AND cheer! Now forming teams for kindergartners!
YBOC is for boys and girls in the K - 8th grade and participates in the Rec and Select Divisions of the Indian Nations Basketball Conference. Participants must attend Claremore Public, Claremore Private, Sequoyah, Foyil, Chelsea, Inola, Justus-Tiawah, or Homeschool.

Yesterday our friends at Claremore Fire Dept came to Catalayah!!!
They talked to the kids about Fire Safety and Prevention, safety in the kitchen, staying low if there is a fire, family meeting place and safe ways to get out of the house! The Firemen also showed the kids the gear they wear when there is a fire.
We sent home educational coloring books for the kids to take home and a fire hat for each student!!
Mrs. Douthitt even found one of her former students!!

2022 JOM INDIAN EDUCATION ELECTION
One of the most important components of the JOM program is parent involvement. This October, parents of JOM eligible children will have an opportunity to get involved in developing the JOM program at Claremore Public Schools.
Elections for JOM Indian Education Committee members will be held on October 4, 2022, at the CPS Enrollment Center (102 West 11th) at 6pm.
To serve on the JOM IEC, a person must be the parent or guardian of a JOM verified child. School board members of spouses and school employees or spouses can not serve on the committee.
