
The District Teacher of the Year Celebration was last week. The reception recognized our Site Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Coffey and all other site recipients and announced the 22-23 District Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Ward, Mrs. Shuck and Mrs. Stolusky enjoyed joining Mrs. Coffey for the reception!!

Claremore Public School Foundation Grant Patrol came to visit us this morning!!!
They were able to award 2 of our teachers with the funds for the grants they applied for.
Mrs. Beasley/3rd grade team and Mrs. Bennett were the lucky winners!!!

Mrs. Roller’s first grade class recently finished reading Because of Winn Dixie. In the story they had a party with pickles, litmus lozenges (candy), egg salad sandwiches, and punch!! They recreated the party! Mrs. Roller was surprised by how many of them tried everything.

Mrs. Stolusky’s kindergarten class and Mrs. Maxville’s 5th grade class celebrated together.
They read a story out in the pergola together and threw our seed bombs near the pond! Then we walked around the school and picked up trash.

More great things are happening at Catalayah!!
Mrs. Eidson submitted a grant to Verdigris Valley Electric Cooperative and it was funded!!!! They came and presented a check to her earlier this week.
She will be purchasing Reading and math games for entire school’s WIN groups!! All of Catalayah will benefit from this!!!

State Testing started yesterday. Even though testing is only for 3rd-5th grades, the entire school gets to be involved. Our younger grades made goody bags to encourage our students that are testing.
They decorated the bags with encouraging words and filled the bags with candy and mints.
