Mrs. Bright's Physical Science class recently began their unit on atoms, ions, and isotopes. Although these concepts exist at the atomic level, students brought them to life using models to construct atoms. By adjusting the number of neutrons and electrons, they explored how atomic mass and charge influence the formation of ions and isotopes, making abstract concepts more tangible and engaging.

🎉 Happy National School Counseling Week! 🎉
This week, we were able celebrate the incredible work of our school counselors who empower students to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. From guiding career paths to providing a safe space for students to express themselves, our school counselors play a vital role in shaping brighter futures.
Thank you to Mrs. Morgan, Mrs. Grace, and Mrs. Vanaman for supporting, inspiring, and advocating for CHS students every day!

How Sick Is Too Sick For School?
Tis the season in Oklahoma - sniffling, sneezing, coughing, headache, fever, tummy aches, nausea, etc.
We miss our students when absent, but sometimes they need to recover at home; how do you make that decision? CPS encourages following the Oklahoma State Department of Health guidelines. These guidelines will help the child recover and protect against the spread of illnesses to other students and staff.
Remember, students/staff should only return to school after being fever-free, vomiting or diarrhea-free for 24 hours without medication.

Seven members of the CHS Student Council participated in the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Thunder Day of Service. Upon arriving in OKC, our students jumped right into action, packing bags filled with fresh produce. Working alongside other councils from across the state, they successfully packaged approximately 1,600 bags of food. As a token of appreciation for their hard work, students received complimentary tickets to the OKC Thunder vs. Dallas Mavericks game. It was truly a fantastic day of service for our Zebras!
