That is why we have partnered with @FamilyZoneUSA, a leading provider of cyber safety products and education, to ensure your kids are cyber safe while at school. Claremore Public Schools is already using Family Zone to block inappropriate content and to identify red flag search terms from students. However, students do need access to sites like youtube for institutional purposes. Once on those sites students can be exposed to content that may be questionable. It is important that caregivers monitor students when they are on their devices.
As a parent or caregiver of our school district, you receive free access to the Family Zone Cyber Safety Hub, which includes articles, videos, courses, and more to help monitor and educate on various cyber threats, apps, etc.

Kindergarten students worked together to create structures during free time. Learning to work together is so important for Kindergartners as it prepares them for working with their classmates in the future!
Kindergartners play "What Comes Next." In this game, the student rolls the dice, and whatever number they land on, they cover up the number that comes next. For example, if a 1 is rolled, the student would cover up the 2. This covers a variety of skills: number recgonition, counting, and numeral order.

This month Chick-fil-A will donate $1 to the Claremore Public School Foundation. CPSF funds class and teacher grants district-wide.

One of the 4th Grade WIN time groups has been researching explorers! This group of students spent time researching a specific explorer, brainstorming and planning for a presentation and getting to create their explorer! Students use butcher paper, markers, crayons, and a whole slew of other craft supplies to create. The goal is for them to look like the explorer they researched. These will be used for a visual in their presentations.
Yesterday was a GE Coaching Day! Staff began the day with cinnamon rolls from Mrs. Fay, and then several of our teachers were observed and coached in Great Expectations classroom practices.
It was a great day!
We are so thankful for our Mrs. Fulks. She goes above and beyond to be there for our students and staff at Claremont. She is always willing to lend a hand and is a team player!

The library offers E-Books, E-Audiobooks, Streaming Video and E-Magazines! Each has their own catalog of digital downloads, which can be found under the E-books link on the library home page. Any patron in good standing will be able to download e-materials to their personal computer, smartphone, E-reader or listening device.

My name is Teri Launius. I am the computers teacher. I have been in education for over 10 years and have been at Claremont for 8 years.
I attended Ferrum University and Union Presbyterian University where I recieved a Bachelors of Science Degree in Public Affairs and Administration and a Master of Arts in Christian Education.
I have two grown children; Katy and Taylor and two miniature doxies as well as three grand fur-babies.
I enjoy spending time with my family, window shopping and reading.
