The Fairytale Ball made for a magical morning! Our 2nd-grade students worked hard to prepare for their two performances, and their hard work paid off! They danced, sang, and spread joy to all who were lucky enough to be in attendance! Great job, 2nd grade! A big "Thank you" to the three women who made this day possible: Mrs. Howell, Mrs. Johnston, and Mrs. Stanart! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Claremont students of the month. they have been presented an award for putting in Effort, which was our word of the month.
Our 4th-grade students presented 'Rise and Shine' on Friday. As a Great Expectations Model School, we consistently learn new and exciting things each month. The expectation of the week was Expectation #7: 'We will encourage each other to do our best.' Our Enriched Vocabulary word this month is 'Headway,' which means forward movement or progress. It was a wonderful morning, and the 4th graders did a fantastic job! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Happy National Assistant Principals Day! What better way to celebrate the amazing Mr. Mudd than by giving him a pie in the face! As part of our Penny Wars at the Claremont Carnival last week, one person was to be given a pie in the face at Rise and Shine this morning. Mr. Mudd was the lucky winner! Not only is he a great sport, but he is also a wonderful Assistant Principal. We are thankful for all Mr. Mudd does here at Claremont and for his commitment to our students and their education! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Ward's 1st-grade class had an impromptu 'flood drill.' Have you ever done a flood drill? Neither had Mrs. Ward's students. They were instructed to grab their whiteboards, sit crisscross applesauce on their desks, and get ready to paddle! The drill was a success, and the students had a great laugh when Mrs. Ward said "April Fools"! Check out the smiles and unsure faces in the pictures!" #CPSZEBRAPRIDE #AprilFools
