In Kindergarten, this weeks focus is kindness, and one of the vocabulary words Kindergartners are working on is ripple.
Students shared an act of kindness they have shown and then drop their stone in the water to watch the ripples spread. They then discussed how spreading kindness is like ripples in water.

Kindergarten teachers find all kinds of fun ways to incorporate learning into their day! Here, Mrs. Freeman engages students in an end of day activity where she holds up a letter and the students tell her the sound - then she has to guess the letter!

Even 5th graders LOVE to create with STEM bins! STEM bins are such an important part of every grade level curriculum because they encourage students to create, invent, and solve problems using real-world challenges!

2nd graders in Mrs. Stanart's class have begun to work on their personal narratives. To begin, students brainstormed a time when they were hurt or sick and wrote about it. They will then use these moments to create their personal narrative.

Kindergarten students made a life-sized 10 frame to help learn teen numbers. 10 students stood on the frame and 4 more were off of the frame. 10 + 4 = 14!
A great whole body activity and visual to help students understand teen numbers!

Meet Mrs. Jones.
Mrs. Jones is just one of our amazing Pre-K direct instruction paraprofessionals! Mrs. Jones is not only a smiling face for our Pre-K kiddos every day, but she also helps assist with planning, development, and implementation of instructional, behavioral and therapeutic activities. She is an amazing asset to Claremont, and we are so grateful to have her!
Give Mrs. Jones a round of applause in the comments!

Even Pre-K students work on technology literacy!
Did you know, with technology and interactive media, learning becomes a multisensory and interactive experience! Devices can promote learning and development when used intentionally and within the framework of developmentally- appropriate practice to support learning goals and expand educational opportunities for all children.
