Parents, its about time to return library books! If your child has an overdue book, they will have a note sent home in the upcoming weeks as a reminder. Starting May 13th, students will be checking their books in as they visit the library. 📚 🔄
Turtle Tag is a fan favorite in Coach Faulconer's PE class.🐢
In the game of Turtle Tag, the taggers must gently tap students. When a student gets tapped, they lay on the floor with their hands and feet in the air and a classmate must help them up to continue playing. Students can take a short break by being a "turtle in their shell". 🐢

Zebra Stripes Summer Camp
The Zebra Stripes Summer Day Care Program is held during the summer season. Our program focuses on providing exceptional care for kindergarten through fifth grade. (Pre-K enrolment is accepted on a case-by-case basis.) The program will offer age-appropriate activities to provide the children with social, emotional, and physical development.

Family Fun Night 2024 ❤️🖤🦓 What an awesome night with the Westside Community! There were games, prizes, auctions, food, face painting, friends & just fun!! 🎉🦓 Westside’s annual family event raises funds that directly benefits our students & our classroom teachers. 📚✏️🖍️ Thank you to our families & community for ongoing support in helping the night be a total success! We also want to thank our amazing teachers, staff & community volunteers who run the show & make the night super fun. We also want to shout out our incredible Westside Elementary PTO for their vision, leadership, countless hours & dedication to ensuring our night was a success. In recognition of Earth Day earlier this week, the Westside cafeteria celebrated in the most deliciously eco-friendly way possible—with dirt and worms! 🐛🍴 Chocolate pudding, crushed Oreos, and gummy worms came together for a treat that's both yummy and environmentally themed. Let's indulge responsibly and remember to cherish and protect our planet every day! 🌎💚

Bringing a taste of the exotic to the classroom, they introduced students to the wonders of the rainforest. From fluffy chinchillas to slithery snakes, it was an unforgettable learning journey! 🌳🐾

CF Industries is helping transform the face of Westside Elementary. CF Industries not only has contributed financially to Westside Elementary, but they volunteered their time and efforts to totally transform the entrance of the school! Mr. Gary Collins, Ms. Michelle Rogers & Mr. Austin Hamilton led the efforts with their team as they planted several new bushes, trimmed and cleared overgrown greenery, mulched, and just simply gave a much needed facelift to the front of Westside. Mr. Collins has a close connection with Westside through his wife, Mrs. Jennifer Collins, who is a long time, invaluable educator at Westside and he has an understanding of the importance of this partnership and the impact it has on our school. 🌳🌼🦓

Mrs. Barbee's kindergarteners brought the fun to math with a twist! Instead of the usual routine, they played Connect 4 - Addition Style! 🌟🎲
Rolling the dice, they added up the numbers and marked their spots on the grid. Learning math has never been this exciting! 📚🔢🎲
