Today, we “blended in” with the spirit of Read Across America week by wearing camo or green attire! 📚🌿 From forest green shirts to camouflage jackets, our students and staff disappeared into the excitement of celebrating literacy and Dr. Seuss' legacy! 📕 💚
Thursday is wear your favorite animal print day, dress like your favorite animal, or wear red! 🦓 🦒 🐅

Today was a colorful day of learning and fun! 💛🖍️💜
Check out these RAINBOWTASTIC Westies! 🌈🌈
Wear your camouflage or green tomorrow, for Green Eggs and Ham Day! 💚

Lace up those running shoes because running club returns this Wednesday 3/6! 🏃♂️🏃♀️

“Oh the places you’ll go” day (or wear blue) was today at Westside! Our students were buzzing with excitement to see teachers and friends dressed in attire from their past travels. From New York to California, students shared stories from their past trips.
Tomorrow is “Rainbowtastic” day! Wear as many colors as possible 🌈

Do you like green eggs and ham? 🍳 🥚
Last Friday, students had the option to have green eggs and ham for lunch.
Today, we caught Ms. Campbell's class reading the classic Dr. Seuss book, and working on related activities!

🗓️ Mark your calendars, Westside PTO presents Family Skate Night! 🛼🛼

March is Women's History Month, and Ms. Johnson is showcasing women in our community and their accomplishments. The stories of these women remind us that no dream is too big and no obstacle too great to overcome. We honor their contributions by continuing to uplift women everywhere. Together, we can shape a future where every girl knows that her potential is limitless! 👩🔬🎉

It's Leap Day, and our Westies are celebrating by learning about frogs, wearing green, and having a "froggy" time celebrating this extra day! 🎉🐸
Did you know that Leap Day happens only once every four years?
Today, we get an extra day in our calendar. It's called Leap Day because we "leap" over a day that doesn't usually exist in a normal year. Isn't that cool? 🐸🌟

Recently, Ms. Barbee brought the wonders of the Arctic life to Kindergarten with her engaging "Blubber and Fur" lesson. Students were able to feel how animals such and polar bears and penguins stay warm in icy waters. 🧊🐻❄️ 🐧

It's that time of year again! 📚 The Book Fair will be available March 11th through March 15th and will be open during parent teacher conferences on March 12th. 📅 Don't miss out!

📚 🍎 Happy Public Schools Week, Westside! 📚 🍎
Today, we celebrate the amazing achievements and opportunities our public schools provide. From our inspiring teachers, to our curious minds, we're proud to be a part of a community dedicated to education for all. Together, we create a love for learning and create a brighter future for generations to come! ⭐️ 🏫 🦓

Next week is Read Across America week! 📚
Here are the dress up days 📕 🌈

No running club tomorrow, 2/28. We apologize for any confusion.

🎨🌟 Remember a few weeks ago when Mr. McClurg's Art class was creating a mural? It's complete and has found its home, hung with the help of Ms. Pilant. 🖼️ Inspired by Chris Uphues, students here at Westside each had the opportunity to work on this vibrant mural using oil pastels.
🖍️ As students pass by this colorful masterpiece each day, they're reminded of their collective achievement—a symbol of pride for the entire school community. 🏫 This mural isn't just a piece of art; it's a testament to collaboration, creativity, and the endless possibilities that unfold when a community comes together to create something truly special! 🎉

Did someone say it's National Lead By Example Day? 🌟 Check out these positive role models at Westside!
Today is all about showing the world how we can be positive role models in our community. Whether it's helping a classmate, showing kindness to others, or being respectful to teachers, every action counts.
Together, we can create a school environment where leadership and compassion thrive. So, let's lead by example today and every day! 💪🏽🌍
