Zebras bucks are one way Westside students earn choices for rewards after being recognized in good behavior. All classes have their own reward system in place for students to choose their reward. In Mrs. Collins class, this student chose show & tell. He shared his first buck he hunted with his Papa & that they chose a European mount. Wow! What a unique and special memory with your class! On the other hand,these 3rd grade students, chose to eat lunch with their teacher Ms. Palmer! Definitely a special time together! Keep up the good choices, Westies! 💪🏽🦓❤️

No matter your age, when Mrs. Stone talks, you listen! Third grade teacher, Mrs. Stone, noticed Ms. Pilant's kindergarteners had excellent hallway procedures and invited them down to her 3rd grade classroom for a treat & to show off to her big kids!! 🦓💪🏽❤️ Together we are stronger! We loved seeing this.

We'll say it again: small group learning = BIG impact! WIN (What I Need) Time has all staff members collaborating and working together best serve each student's specific needs at Westside. Mrs. Whitaker & PreK came back with some Disney flair. These students have been working on painting, sorting in the sensory bin, math skills & color recognition with a little Mickey magic mixed in. The extra fairy dust on top was that two real life Westside princesses made visits to PreK! 👸🏻🧚🏼👸🏼What a memorable & fun way to learn! Keep it up Westies! 🦓❤️

Before break, students in Ms. Taber’s 4th grade science class were doing major research & presented about natural disasters. The students were put in small groups where they used their devices to research facts & information on their group’s topic. The groups used teamwork to develop their presentation, to create a poster to present to their whole class & they grew their public speaking skills. Awesome job researchers!
