🎨🌟 Remember a few weeks ago when Mr. McClurg's Art class was creating a mural? It's complete and has found its home, hung with the help of Ms. Pilant. 🖼️ Inspired by Chris Uphues, students here at Westside each had the opportunity to work on this vibrant mural using oil pastels. 🖍️ As students pass by this colorful masterpiece each day, they're reminded of their collective achievement—a symbol of pride for the entire school community. 🏫 This mural isn't just a piece of art; it's a testament to collaboration, creativity, and the endless possibilities that unfold when a community comes together to create something truly special! 🎉

Native American Club has been creating pottery while studying Native American techniques & incorporating symbolism into their art. Mr. McClurg led the students while they used the traditional coiling technique to form their pieces. After the pieces dried, Native American symbolism was discussed & displayed so the students could incorporate these symbols into their pottery designs. We couldn’t love this more. Incredible work guys, you make us proud!

Recently 5th grade had a really cool chance to participate in a lesson with Joey Duffy from the Tulsa based rock band Cliffdiver. Joey talked about his musical influences, recording music, and what it's like to be in a band traveling the country playing music. The kids got to ask lots of questions and had a great time hearing some amazing stories. Thank you Joey for making time to connect with our students and sharing ways music can be a potential career path & and a way of life. Thank you Mr. Levesque for helping make such a cool experience happen for our kids at Westside!! Super neat.
