The Westside Honor Choir recently joined elementary and junior high students from across the district to perform for their families and community. They have spent time before and after school preparing for this performance. Mrs. Gaylord did an incredible job preparing these Westies, and the audience was blown away. They even sang in different languages! We are so proud of our Westsiders and their involvement in the musical arts!

Today, the Men's RSU Soccer team joined Westside students and staff in Rise and Shine. Students wanted to thank Coach Larkin and his team for donating soccer nets for the goals on our playground. Westside students have been so grateful for this generous contribution and had so much fun getting to see the Hillcats in person. One of the players even included former Westside student, Blake Classen. RSU continues to display their leadership as they support Claremore Schools. If you get a chance tomorrow, head up the hill to support the RSU Hillcats as they play at 5pm and 7pm.

All families must complete enrollment every year. Enrollment may be completed entirely online, and we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer to enroll. If you do not have access to a computer, or if you need enrollment assistance, the CPS Enrollment Center has computers and scanners available and will be happy to help. They are open daily from 8a - 4p (arrive by 3:30p).

Do you remember who taught you to tell time? First grade students have started identifying parts of a clock and telling time to the hour and half hour. Mrs. Sanders guides her fantastic first graders in practicing this skill in their workbook. They really enjoyed practicing with analog clocks!

The Oklahoma Caring Van will provide FREE immunizations for children at the Claremore enrollment center March 21st & 23rd from 10a - 12p.

Mrs. McCaw's class made learning fun with flashlight reading. Students were able to explore a new story in a quiet space. We love to see Westside students picking up a good book.

The rain should move on for us to have Running Club this afternoon.
Fifth grade students took a field trip to see an interactive Tulsa Symphony concert. The concert is titled Link Up and offers so many cool experiences. The orchestra moves and includes Tulsa Opera singers, dancers, vocalists from the University of Tulsa, and of course, the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra! Students got the chance to sing and interact with the musicians and dancers during the one hour concert. It was an amazing time!

Mrs. McGill's fifth grade students show that they are leaders both socially and academically by writing essays. Their topic is over bullying prevention and is five or more paragraphs long. These Westies are such incredible leaders and will soon be representing as Jr. High students!

Our friends from Sodexo came by with great news. Fourth grade Westside student, Gunner, has been selected in the regional cooking competition. Gunner will be cooking live this week and will be making a delicious street corn stuffed mushrooms with pineapple chutney. Great Gunner and good luck!
