Kindergarteners in Mrs. Eckerts class learned about the community & the people that work in it. Students were able to visit each station and learn what workers there do.
These stations included: a school, construction zone, fire station, police station and a veterinarian office. 🏫🚜👮🚒🐈

Mrs. Reynolds class learning by doing! Number blocks on the screen and in hand, counting is more fun when you get to build with Number-Blocks!

Mrs. Lyons and Maverick are back in the classroom!
Mrs. Lyons, our school counselor, has been visiting each wing and talking about what a counselor does to help students. Maverick, certified therapy pup, loves getting pets from each student! 🐕🦺🐾

Great Expectation #5:
We will help each other whenever possible.

Students in Ms. Pilant's 3rd grade class earned "Free Friday" where they got extra time to play with board games and STEM activities at the end of the day. Way to go!

Students in Ms. Peterson's class read the book "Our Class is a Family" by Shannon Olsen. They each colored a puzzle piece, and when it was pieced together it created a heart. 🧩💙

🍎September Word of the Month 🍎
Honesty: truthfulness; sincere; freedom from lies and deception.
Students are implementing Great Expectations and embodying honesty by holding themselves accountable, speaking the truth even when it's hard, and building a community of trust and respect! 🦓❤️🦓 #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Twinning Tuesday featuring Mrs. Kagebein & Ms. Jones. They're matching in their leopard print!

Fall Fundraiser Packets are coming home today with your student(s)! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year & we have a goal to raise $25,000 to support Westside! 🦓❤️🦓
✨How can you help? ✨
Get started early with digital selling! Go to SHOPFUND.com to register and share, or scan the QR below. Thank you for your continued support!

Mrs. Sanders’ 1st graders had so much fun counting to 20 with number blocks. 🧩✨
Hands-on activities like this make learning come to life—kids can actually see and feel the numbers, which helps it “click” so much faster. 💙

Lunch isn't just about refueling- they're a chance to build friendships and strengthen social skills! 🥗🌯🥪

Our Westside Safety Patrol, led by Mrs. Sinni, is ready to help keep our hallways safe! These students are responsible and show leadership, helping ensure students walking to class are being safe and following procedures. 🚦👮

Mrs. Pilant's class is diving into graphic organizers. Students are learning to organize their thoughts and analyze books more deeply as they build strong reading and thinking skills! 📚🧠
