Westside 4th grade teachers, Ms. Johnson & Ms. Sagely, received a grant from Claremore Public Schools Foundation for their project "Unlocking Literacy with Holes". This grant will provide 100 copies of Holes by Louis Sachar to 4th grade students. This supports literacy, critical thinking, and a love for reading. 🕳📚

👨🍳👩🍳 Junior Master Chef Challenge 2025 👩🍳👨🍳
It's that time of year again, Westside had so many participants last year, let's do it again! Student's that were interested brought home a paper earlier this week. They will write out their favorite recipe & bring it back by this Friday, April 18th to be entered into the competition. If your student is chosen, they will make the recipe at the competition where they compete against other Junior Master Chef's.

Twinning Tuesday! 🦓🦓

Twinning and winning! We love to see a few of our grant winners coming back to class with innovative ways to help our students succeed & learn in new ways!
Congratulations to Mrs. Sanders and Mrs. Campbell on their grant successes!

State Testing has begun & we wanted to share a few important tips with our families!
✅ Get a good night’s sleep – Rested brains work better!
🥣 Eat a healthy breakfast – Fuel up with something nutritious.
⏰ Be on time – A calm morning helps set the tone for a great day.
🧘 Take deep breaths – It’s okay to feel nervous. Just do your best!
💬 Encouragement matters – A little “You’ve got this!” goes a long way.

Westside celebrated 7 Poppin' Years of being a GE Model School! Students and staff alike wore green and yellow & celebrated all around. 🍋🟩 🫧
