“Oh the places you’ll go” day (or wear blue) was today at Westside! Our students were buzzing with excitement to see teachers and friends dressed in attire from their past travels. From New York to California, students shared stories from their past trips.

Today, we caught Ms. Campbell's class reading the classic Dr. Seuss book, and working on related activities!

It's Leap Day, and our Westies are celebrating by learning about frogs, wearing green, and having a "froggy" time celebrating this extra day! 🎉🐸
Did you know that Leap Day happens only once every four years?
Today, we get an extra day in our calendar. It's called Leap Day because we "leap" over a day that doesn't usually exist in a normal year. Isn't that cool? 🐸🌟
Recently, Ms. Barbee brought the wonders of the Arctic life to Kindergarten with her engaging "Blubber and Fur" lesson. Students were able to feel how animals such and polar bears and penguins stay warm in icy waters. 🧊🐻❄️ 🐧

Jamal, Francisco & Pacho, named by 5th grade students, are spiderettes. Mature spider plants will shoot out baby plants that can be clipped off and propagated as new plants! 🌱
The class read the book "The World's Best Class Plant" by Audrey Vernice and Liz Garton-Scanlon and will get to take the plants home at the end of the year!
