Mrs. McClurg's first grade class teamed up with their Westie Besties from Ms. Nicks third grade class for a fun STEM activity. 🎉 Third graders stepped into leadership roles while helping their first grade partners problem solve, collaborate, and learn together. We love seeing our students build skills and friendships across grade levels! 💪🦓

Math Fact Champions! 🏆✖️ These amazing 3rd graders were treated with a slush when they passed their 12's in multiplication!

RSU Education students visited Mrs. Ramsey & Mrs. McGill's 5th grade classes to teach science! 🧫 They did experiments over density, surface tension, cloud formation, Earth’s Forces, and many more! Thank you to these amazing RSU students for sharing your knowledge with our scholars. 🙏

We're thankful every day for the dedication and care shown by Officer Hagan, our school resource officer! 👮‍♂️💙 Our students & staff are lucky to have someone that works so hard to keep our school safe and supported. Valentine's Day Parties were a mix of fun, friendship and sweet celebrations. Students played games, enjoyed treats and special time together making memories with their classmates. 💕

It's Kindness Week! During rise & shine, Agent Lyons introduced the week with special missions for each class. Stay tuned to see kindness spread through the halls 🥰

During School Counselor Week, our wonderful Mrs. Lyons visited classrooms to share the importance of kindness and how we can spread it every day!

Mrs. Campbell's Jump Rope Challenge has begun for upper grades! Students have the opportunity to challenge their classmates to see who can jump rope for 1 full minute without stopping. It's much harder than it sounds, but when students reach their goal, they get to sign their name on the Jump Rope Challenge poster & get named a jump rope pro!

Team Building: 2 Truths and a Lie — Teacher Edition! ✨💪 During a recent meeting, Westside teachers and staff took some time to connect and share laughs by playing “2 Truths and a Lie” about their snow day adventures. ❄️ Building strong relationships among our staff helps us create an even better, more supportive environment for our students each day! ❤️🦓
