Our 1st grade wing has some sweet sounds happening! Each class has been doing a lesson on life-cycles, and included in that lesson is hatching eggs! 🥚 🔄
Quail & chicks, 1st grade is learning how they develop and grow as well as what they need to survive. 🐣








The rainy weather brought some big ole crawdads to the Westside playground! Some of our curious minds got to check them out. 🌧️


Mrs. Cummings first graders are using their spelling words to create sentences. As the we're building the sentences, they wrote "My child broke my back!"
One student responded: “When everyone wrote that sentence, we died of laughter!”








It's National Administrative Professionals Day and we want to give a huge shoutout to our office heroes- Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Kurth! 📌📥
These two amazing women are the first smiling faces you see when you walk through our doors and they truly do it all. From answering phones to keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes- they were many hats and they wear them well! ☎️📞

Mrs. Armbrister’s kindergarten class has been working on making inferences.
By listening to stories, her class has been looking at pictures to make an inference and read between the lines! 📕

Our program’s focus is on providing exceptional care for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The program will offer age-appropriate activities that provide children with opportunities for social, emotional, and physical development.

Westside 4th grade teachers, Ms. Johnson & Ms. Sagely, received a grant from Claremore Public Schools Foundation for their project "Unlocking Literacy with Holes". This grant will provide 100 copies of Holes by Louis Sachar to 4th grade students. This supports literacy, critical thinking, and a love for reading. 🕳📚

Coach Campbell brings all the fun in PE!
Students got to participate in several stations: wall climbing, scooters, building and shooting hoops. 🏀







In Ms. Collins class, students have been learning what plants need to grow. ☀️
Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Collins intern, helped students plant seeds to track the growth and follow the plant life cycle. 🌱 🔄

One of Westside's biggest cheerleaders brought donuts for 3rd grade teachers today as they continue state testing.
