
The JOM parent meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 27, at 5:45 p.m. has been rescheduled for April 3rd at 5:45 p.m.


Channel 6 had another special guest for students during Read Across America Week. Meteorologist Stacia Night, invited by Westside's librarian, Ms. Lang, read to 5th graders about weather!

Pop for Pizza! 🍕🍕
It is that time of year again- students will be competing for a pizza party and all they have to do is bring soda. The grade that brings the most soda will win a pizza party! All contributions will go to our upcoming family fun night.
Starting March 14th, students in grades Pre-K to 2nd bring cases of canned soda & 3rd-5th grades bring 2-liter bottles!

"Today we went on a hunt for circles! We went around out entire school to measure the circles' diameters & used pi to find their circumference! Happy Pi Day!"

5th grade students had the opportunity to go to the Link Up Concert at the Owasso Performing Arts Center with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra! They had a great time performing and dancing to swing music! 🎶🎶🎶

Spring Break has come to an end & we can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!


5th graders in Mrs. Hink's class are studying King George the Third. She says:
"No taxation without representation candy simulation: my green table is my parliament (they don't pay taxes), I have 2 students going around collecting my skittle taxes. And everyone else is a colonist, and are being taxed by the teacher (King George the 3rd). This gives the students and ideas of what it was like to be a colonist and why they became so angry with King George and the meaning behind 'No taxation without representation'"











When you're in pre-k & learn your letters. . you get a sweet treat! This girl was skipping around and felt so proud of herself.

Ms. Nicks & her 3rd graders are working on 3 different skills in math. Have you ever heard of the Butterfly Effect method? 🦋
Students were multiplying, comparing fractions and finding the greater than between the two fractions!

Mrs. T's first grade WIN (what I need) group, listened and discussed the book, “Hidden Figures, the Story of Four Black Women and the Space Race.” To conclude, students drew colorful illustrations related to themes from the story. 📕






Mrs. Whitaker's pre-k class had a Dinosaur Week! They played dinosaur board games, strategy games and dinosaur themed centers!
