🏈PLAYER OF THE WEEK🏈 7th Grade: Coaplen Widener is player of the week for 7th grade. Coaplen seized the moment when he was put at the safety position on defense. Jax had a tremendous game on both sides of the ball with multiple tackles for loss, a touchdown on offense and also does the physical work that requires to play tight end. With his efforts the Zebras were able to beat the Ridgerunners 34-16 improving to 5-0 on the season! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Check out what our Art 3 students are up to! They’re working on their very first mural—how cool is that?!
First, they had to conduct an interview for the commission on the murals. They then teamed up to discuss their ideas 💡. They even sketched out their visions and presented them to the class. After that, they voted for their favorite design. Now, Art 3 students are turning that idea into a reality! Keep your eyes peeled for an epic new mural that’ll make our school look even more awesome! 👀✨

Science can be delicious! 🤤 Mrs. Simmonds' students are experimenting with heat transfer methods to toast marshmallows. They're using conduction on a hot plate, convection with a popcorn popper, and radiation with a heat lamp.
Who knew learning could be so sweet? 🔥🍢

Mrs. Simmonds' WIN class had a blast making Oobleck, a non-Newtonian fluid inspired by a Dr. Seuss book. It's fascinating how it can act like a liquid and a solid depending on the pressure applied to it! 🔬
