▬Zebras: BEYOND THE CLASSROOM▬
We're excited to spotlight one of our talented students, DJ Underwood, who began his musical journey last summer with the guitar. Inspired by his family's love for music, he's learned to play not only guitar but also bass and drums. With a passion for rock music and his trusty Fender acoustic guitar, he's aiming to follow in his family's footsteps and join a band!

It was an out-of-this-world project in Mrs. Rahn's STEM class! Students not only studied the history of rockets and the forces that propel them but also explored the vital role that Newton's Laws of Motion play in rocketry. After learning about the scientific principles and historic milestones, students designed, constructed, and launched their own rockets.
This hands-on approach to learning allowed our aspiring rocket scientists to gain experience and understanding of the physics behind these incredible machines.

It's Friday FaVoRiTeS! Mrs. Luginbill has a favorite mug. It changes colors with hot liquids and reveals the fate of each of Henry VIII's wives. It's really cool! Every time she drinks from it while on cafeteria duty, at least one student asks if it is a picture of Coach Weber (which always makes her chuckle). It was a Christmas gift from Mrs. Bopp. Her other favorite thing is her family! ♥ #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mr. Lyles 8th grade students are leaving their mark - on his wall! They've painted a beautiful world map on the classroom wall, leaving a lasting impression and a reminder of their time at Will Rogers Junior High.
What a great way to remember your students, Mr. Lyles!

A few more "FUN' pics for our FUN day! Thanks again to our PTO for not only setting up and providing the games, dunk tank, and concession items, but for volunteering and working! We appreciate you!

Fun pics of our FUN day! Our students had an absolute blast during our fun-filled day where they got to enjoy all kinds of different activities. Students took turns playing games and dunking some of our brave teachers who stepped up to the dunk tank, providing students with the unforgettable opportunity to make a splash and send their teachers plunging into the water!
Students also got sweet treats and sno-cones from our concession.
We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this event and, most importantly, for making it a truly fun day for our students!

Students in Mrs. Rahn’s STEM class had to plan, design, build and test a lunar lander that carried a rover with a payload of an “Eggstronaut” all while staying within a budget. Each straw, plastic bottle or piece of tape had a cost. The winning team’s egg survived the drop and rolled the furthest while spending the least amount of money!
They learned that engineers must stay within a budget!

Attention everyone, we have an exciting update from Dr. Young's 8th-grade class! After enjoying both the movie adaptation and the original novel of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, these creative students celebrated the end of the school year by channeling their inner recipe developers for none other than the iconic Mr. Willy Wonka himself! The entire classroom was ready to make these yummy ice cream sundae recipes, which they later enjoyed while fondly sharing memories of their memorable middle school experiences. What a delicious and heartwarming way to mark this milestone in their academic journey!

Mrs. Rahn’s 6th grade robotics class partnered with the Catalayah STEM club to tour Claremore’s Rye Design automation & robotics business. The owners Andy & Sarah Fiegener showed students the process of building a robot from conception to the finished product. Afterwards we visited the Claremore Museum of History to learn about Stuart Roosa and play on the rocket ship playground!
