REMINDER - In honor of the Labor Day holiday, CPS will be closed on Monday, September 5th.

Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894. This weekend, as we spend time with our families and friends, celebrate the value of an honest day's work, the people who built America, and our nation's advancements because of the American labor force.

My name is Billy Willard and I am teaching 6th Grade Math and coaching High School Football, Women's Wrestling , and Junior High Baseball. I grew up in Collinsville where I graduated High School in 1999. After High School, I graduated from Northeastern State University in 2004.
My hobbies/likes include watching the Oklahoma Sooners Football team, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, golfing, fishing, playing spades, and spending time with family.
My why - is trying to make my students/players feel the way that I felt in school. My teachers and coaches in Middle School and High School made me want to be the best student and athlete. I looked up to them and wanted to follow in their footsteps.

I graduated from BAHS in 1999, then went on to receive my Elementary Education degree at NSU and Masters+ in Math Education from OU.
I enjoy spending time with my daughter, a 7th grader in Owasso, and family. I also love to take pictures, listen to podcasts and music, and learn new things.
I became an educator to serve others and help them grow. I love making meaningful connections with people, with content, and in life. And I love helping develop problem solvers and critical thinkers that will in turn help develop those around them and make new connections however they can.

Reminder - Meet the Teacher is August 16th.
Elementary - by appointment. If you have not heard from your teacher please call the school.
Secondary - come/go from 6p - 7:30p. Pick up your syllabus, school supply list, find your classes and meet your teachers.
We are ready to start the school year! Tuesday, Aug. 16, is Open House/Meet Your Teacher. Come and go from 6pm-7:30pm. You can tour the school, bring your supplies, and meet your teacher! If you haven't picked up your schedule, you can do that, too.
School starts on Thursday, Aug. 18. Doors open at 7:45am and classes begin at 8:15am.
We are so excited to see our students!
