
WRJH Tennis Tryouts 2024 Season🎾
Girls and Boys Tennis tryout dates are listed below. Tryouts will be located at the HIGH SCHOOL tennis courts. Please arrive five to ten minutes early to ensure all athletes are ready to begin promptly by 6:00pm. Athletes need to bring a tennis racquet and a bottle of water. Please dress appropriately for tryouts. Results will be posted at the WRJH by the end of the day on Tuesday, October 17 . Following tryouts, a mandatory parent meeting will be held on Thursday, October 26 at 6:00 p.m. at the HIGH SCHOOL gym in the Hospitality Room for those athletes that made the team. Information about tryouts can be found on Remind. Following tryouts, if your athlete made the team we will communicate using ROOMS.

🏈FOOTBALL FRIDAY🏈
WRJH ⚡PLAYERS OF THE WEEK⚡
7th grade Zebras were victorious beating the Grove Ridgerunners 27-8. Titus Mize was relentless on defense having multiple tackles for a loss and tallied a few sacks as well. His effort was noticed by all the coaches and he is this week’s defensive player of the week. Now the offensive player of the week is Ronan Wheeler. He scored his first touchdown of the year and was a big part of the offensive success. Having multiple catches and also a throwing touchdown. Ronan sealed the game with his 50 yard touchdown pass giving him 1 receiving and also 1 throwing, making him this weeks offensive player of the week!
Demo Cummings made the move to quarterback this week and dominated the game running the ball! The Zebras dominated time of possession controlling the ball for a majority of the game. Zebras won 13-0!

Can you draw something simply by listening to the description? Students in Mrs. Highley's class drew the Greek/Roman mythological creature/monster from its description by using the description and imagination to complete the drawing.
They looked awesome!

The Claremore Indian Education Committee(IEC) will have a special meeting on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 6-6:30 p.m. at the Enrollment Center at 101 West 11th. The meeting will be held to hold the JOM Annual Election.
To serve on the JOM IEC, a person must be the parent or guardian of a JOM-verified child. School board members or spouses, school administrators or spouses, and school employees or spouses can not serve on the committee.
Any parent, community member, or other interested may attend the meeting.

Coach Dexter's classes are beginning American History and covering what life was like in the colonies. Students are participating in Colonial Life the Game! And are making decisions for a fledging colony to see if their colony will survive the experience!

►Doors open at 7:45am, please be aware of that, especially as the weather gets cold
►Parent/teacher conferences---will be October 12th and November 9th. Sign ups will be on my conference time. If you sign up for the Oct 12th meeting then there is no need to sign up for the November 9th
►WRJH dance will be December 15th.
►Eligibility for 7th and 8th graders-if your student is failing a class, they will be put on probation for one week. If the student still failing the class after that week, they are NOT eligible to participate.

The 7th grade bounces back with a good win over Tahlequah 26-6! And we had TWO POTW for 7th grade! Ryder Green was relentless on defense! It seemed like every tackle was made by him. His effort made him this weeks defensive player of the week! Taydem Cape continues to do great things, he has caught a touchdown in every game this year and had two this game! His efforts have earned him another offensive player of the week! Great job Zebras!!
Cannon was a vocal and physical leader for the 8th grade team opening holes for Demo Cummings and making multiple key tackles!

WRJH Native American Club had its first meeting last week and made native bracelets.
Club members meet once a week after school and learn about Native American culture and customs. They have special guests throughout the year and do a variety of arts and crafts, as well as field trips. If your student is interested in Native American Club, information is in the office.
