Is your student ready for school next year? All incoming 7th grade students MUST have their tDap vaccination💉to begin school. TDap vaccines are available at your child's doctor, the Rogers County Health Department, and are offered through the health department's Caring Van. After attending an OERB workshop last summer,  Mrs. Boyd's class earned a field trip and went to Woolaroc. Students saw artifacts, played and visited the oil and gas display. Mrs. Boyd's favorite part...the shrunken heads!

The 7th-8th grade camp will be more geared towards enhancing the skills
they already have and being more competitive minded.

To learn more about South America's physical and human geography, Ms. Reyes' class  did an escape room! There were clues hidden in readings given to students and puzzles 
 (morse code, cryptograph, etc.) posted around the room to help them crack the code.
Looks like there were several "escape artists"!

We had a promotion celebration! 🎓 Our 8th graders are officially moving on up to the high school. They're trading in their junior high days for the big leagues—and we couldn't be prouder! Here's to new adventures, endless possibilities, and the bright future ahead for these students!

Uncovering Research Secrets with Our Librarian! 🌟 Our students embarked on an exciting 'Survivor'-style journey, mastering research skills with the expert guidance of our Mrs. Eddings. Through engaging challenges, they conquered the world of information, making them true research warriors!

After the Journey of Hope assembly about the Oklahoma City bombing, the Oklahoma Forestry Department brought a sapling of the Survivor Tree and some of our students got to help plant it!  We are so honored to get to have a piece of history and hope it grows big!

Our art showcase was a huge success! 🎨 We showed off stunning artwork 🖍️, watched drama performances 🎭, listened to our choir's  voices 🎤, and rocked out with the band 🎸. It was a symphony of talent, and we're still buzzing from the excitement!

OSSAA PSA - MEMORANDUM

Subject:   Public Service Announcement – One-Time Change of School Hardship Waiver
To be eligible for a one-time change of school hardship, students must submit a Student Transfer Application through the State Department of Education’s website between June 1st and July 15th.
If a student is returning to their home district, the school must provide documentation showing the student began the enrollment process on or before July 15th.
Details of the criteria can be found on the OSSAA Website under “One Time Change of School Hardship Criteria.” Students who miss the July 15th deadline will not be granted a hardship under the “one-time change of school” criteria.
A hardship waiver submitted after the deadline must demonstrate an unusual, unforeseen, or unavoidable circumstance that compelled the student to change schools.
Once the student has begun the enrollment process, the school is responsible for submitting the hardship waiver to the OSSAA.

Mrs. Simmonds' students kicked their respiratory system unit into high gear with a thrilling experiment! They leaped into action, performing jumping jacks to compare their respiration rates at rest and during exercise. Each jump brought them closer to unlocking the secrets of our incredible breathing mechanism!

It's Week 3 of our National Pet Month Extravaganza! 🐾

It was a race against time as our eager 6th grade data detectives in Ms. Laurin's class scrambled to snatch up a colorful array of popsicle sticks!
Equipped with their statistical superpowers, they cracked the code of central tendencies - mean, median, mode, you name it! Diving deeper into the data, they uncovered range, quartiles, and even the mysterious inter-quartile range! 
Armed with dot plots and box plots, our detectives brought their findings to life in vivid visuals!
