This summer, some of our amazing teachers attended the Great Expectations (GE) Conference—and they went all out with fun 70’s style! 🌸✌️ Bell bottoms, bright colors, and groovy smiles all around!

So… what is Great Expectations?
GE is a school-wide program that helps us create a positive, respectful, and motivating learning environment for all students. 🌟 It focuses on building strong relationships, setting high expectations, and using proven practices so every student can succeed—both in school and in life.

We’re proud of our teachers for bringing the GE spirit back to our school and starting the year off in true groovy style!

SCHEDULE PICK UP IS THIS WEEK! Stop by and pick up your student's schedule on the following days:
8th grade- Wednesday, Aug. 6
7th grade- Thursday, Aug. 7
6th grade- Friday, Aug. 8

📅 Student Schedule Pick-Up Times:
We’ll have schedules ready for pick-up from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
If you can’t make it during that time, no worries—you can pick it up any time after your scheduled day.
🚫 Just a heads-up: Schedules won’t be ready before your pick-up time.

Basketball camp with Coach Wadsworth was an absolute blast! 🏀💯 From doing drills to playing a game, our athletes learned so much! Just ask any of them! They all enjoyed it!

For the final installment of our Classroom Pets series, we're featuring some very special friends from the great outdoors—a family of geese that became daily visitors to our school! We even named them- meet Stephen Honking, Cardi Beak, and their son Goose Willis! It was an incredible experience to watch the goslings grow bigger and stronger under their parents' care. Our students and staff loved seeing this beautiful family together each day! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

The next class pet- pets- are our very own chicks born right here at WRJH! 🐣These babies became very well loved in the short time they were here! Even our school therapy dog, Pawlee, loved them! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

‼7TH GRADE PARENTS‼ your student will not be enrolled if they do not have the tDap vaccine or an exemption on file with the state. All incoming 7th grade students MUST have their tDap vaccination💉to begin school. TDap vaccines are available at your child's doctor, the Rogers County Health Department, and are offered through the health department's Caring Van. ✏️✂️ School Supply Lists Released! It's time to get organized and equipped for the new school year! From pencils and erasers to notebooks and binders, we've compiled a list of everything you'll need to start the year off right. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Our next class pet is a chubby little goldfish who doesn't have a name! "Fish" lives in Mrs. Neighbors' class and loves to swim around the tank watching the students. We are hopeful he is given a name next year, although "Fish" does have a nice ring to it! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Our Principals spent three valuable days at the CCOSA conference, honing their leadership skills and staying up to date on the latest educational best practices. CCOSA is a non-profit organization that helps Oklahoma school administrators through professional development. It provides training, legislative support, and member services. It also brings together different groups of people to improve schools and make sure their needs are understood. Thank you for your commitment to our school community! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

On this Motivational Monday, WRJH Principal, Ms. Mary Bopp, shares what motivates her in being a middle school administrator. "Middle school is a crucial time for students' development, and as a principal, I have the opportunity to help guide and shape them into responsible, well-rounded individuals." #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Breen's art classes began a BIG project this past year. They painted one of the cut-through hallways in the 6th grade wing. After several months of drawing, painting and working very hard, it looks AMAZING! Check out the before and after pics! We want them to paint all the bare walls now! Our next class pet is Edison! 🐢 Edison lives in Mrs. Simmonds' class and has a very special bond with all her students. They take him outside to get sunshine and they bring him lettuce to snack on. He's even been known to walk the halls in the 6th grade wing when he sneaks out of his class! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

What do we do during the summer months with no students? We make WRJH look its best, thanks to our maintenance crew! They are removing the old desks in the science labs and putting in new tables! They are also fixing all the breaks/holes/tears in the building. We are so grateful they are getting the building ready for another school year! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
