"A promotional flyer for the 'Gallons for Good' campaign benefitting the Claremore Public Schools Foundation. The top of the flyer features the title in large red text: 'Gallons for Good.' Below, it states that the campaign is 'Benefitting the Claremore Public Schools Foundation.' The center of the flyer shows a photo of gallon containers of Chick-fil-A tea and lemonade next to a stack of Chick-fil-A branded cups. At the bottom, red text explains that '$2 of every gallon purchased in November will be donated to the Claremore Public Schools Foundation.' The Chick-fil-A Claremore logo and address (664 S. Lynn Riggs Blvd, Claremore, OK 74017) are included, along with the phone number and website link."
Students in Mrs. Simmonds' science classes are diving into science in a fun and interactive way with a Science Book Scavenger Hunt as an enrichment project!

They’re exploring science books to find interesting facts, answer questions, and discover new concepts—all while building research and critical thinking skills. This hands-on activity encourages curiosity and helps students become confident explorers of knowledge.

Students became little scientists as they tested out different tools to see how bird beaks work! Using a variety of “beaks,” they experimented with picking up different materials—just like Darwin’s finches!

This hands-on activity in Mrs. Simmonds' classes helped them understand how birds adapt their beaks to survive in their environments. It’s amazing to see evolution come to life right in the classroom!

Apple Taste-Testing Fun in Mrs. Bacon’s Class! 🍏

Mrs. Bacon’s students had a blast participating in a hands-on apple taste-testing activity! 🍎 They practiced reading a nonfiction passage and learned how to annotate fun facts about apples.

Afterward, students sampled five different apple varieties and created a taste-testing chart to compare colors, smells, flavors, and textures. Everyone voted for their favorites — here are the results:

🥇 Cosmic Crisp – 9 votes
🥈 Granny Smith – 9 votes
🥉 Pink Lady – 6 votes
🍏 Fuji – 4 votes
🍎 Golden Delicious – 2 votes

This activity encouraged descriptive language, chart-making, critical thinking, and discussion — all while making learning interactive and engaging! 🍎

In Mr. Wadsworth's class, students played the classic game Telephone to practice active listening—an important skill we're focusing on in our new Life Skills unit!

It’s amazing how quickly messages can get mixed up if we’re not really paying attention. This game helped students see why listening carefully is so important, not just in school but in everyday life too.
