To kick off their new unit covering Africa, students in Mr. Wadsworth's class embarked on an engaging project that fostered collaboration and curiosity. The project began with the "I Wonder Wall," where students selected intriguing questions that sparked their interest. Once they chose their questions, they went back to their groups to delve into research and explore the answers together.
Through collaborative effort, each group gathered information and prepared presentations to share their findings with the class. This project not only encouraged teamwork and critical thinking but also provided students with the opportunity to develop their research and communication skills. By presenting their discoveries, students shared new insights and perspectives, enriching the learning experience for everyone involved.

Mrs. Simmonds' class are hatching eggs. They are on day 8 and it is time to candle the eggs. The students are super excited to use a flashlight to candle them and see the continued development of the embryo's in the eggs. We could actually see the embryo moving! How cool is that?

WRJH is celebrating World Book Day📔 by asking teachers about their favorite book! If you haven't read one of these, you should!
Coach Willard's favorite book is "The Puppy Who Lost His Way". It's his favorite because it explains the Industrial Revolution.
Mrs. Worley's favorite is Little Women. It was the first chapter book she ever read!
Mrs. Neighbor's favorite book is Charlotte's Web. It's the first novel that she read by herself! She grew up on a farm, so she identified with the characters in the book. They had pigs, cows, chickens & lambs. They also had a beautiful garden spider who lived in the hay loft. She was in 3rd grade the first time she read it.
Mrs. Highley's favorite book is Hamlet. Hamlet is her pick for a thrilling literary ride, with a dysfunctional family taking center stage!
Go check out a book and read it on National Book Day!
