How do you get a student interested in Thermal Energy? You make ICE CREAM!🍦
In Mr. Gregg's class, students made ice cream to go along with their Temperature and Thermal Energy labs. They applied the concepts they have learned about heat transfer. The heat was being transferred from the milk into the ice in order to make ice cream.

In Mrs. Brunjes-Hall's Art class, students learned all about Calder Wire Mobiles. Initially trained as a mechanical engineer, Alexander Calder revolutionized the world of kinetic sculpture with his suspended mobiles. They studied Calder's work and created their own mobiles! Everyone learned a lot about literal balance, visual balance and the artwork of Alexander Calder.

This Wednesday, the question was - would you rather be trapped in an elevator or a basement?
Would you rather Wednesday gives students two choices and they have to discuss with their partner which they would choose. This gives our students the ability to practice making eye contact and holding a conversation with someone.

7th Grade Advanced Math students in Ms. Phariss's class are working with a partner to solve two step equations. The activity is called “he said she said” where two people have given an answer- students are trying to figure out who is right and who is incorrect.
