Mrs. Ward’s class reading series focused on our planet and the sun and how shadows are formed.
They also read The Black Rabbit about a bunny and his shadow.
During a sunny day at recess they remembered our stories and were interested in their own shadows! 🖤

Mrs. Newman’s class took some time to share what they did during the Holiday Break. After their turn to share they passed the yarn. They couldn’t let go because it takes all of them to work together as a team.

I sure hope Santa didn’t get stuck in your chimney, but if he did our first graders gave us ideas how to get him out!!
The first graders also explained to us why they would be a good Santa. They have been doing such a great job on their writing assignments.

How cool are these!!! Mrs. Coffey taught her students about positive and negative mirror images!!
The student draws a shape touching the edge of the paper & cuts it out. The actual shape itself is the positive space, while the space created where the space was, is the negative.
Students then chose a contrasting paper to glue the two pieces of paper. They really enjoyed coming up with designs & colors.

The life principle for December is Service!!
Service- the action of helping or doing work for someone. There’s no better time to give a huge shout out to our PTO!!!
These parents have spent several hours of their time volunteering at the school. Santa pictures, chip grams, carnival, Holiday meals, track and field day and so much more!!!! We couldn’t make it all work if it wasn’t for them!! Special thanks to all our PTO volunteers!!
