Parent-teacher conferences are tonight, which means it’s time to eat! A huge thank you to our very own Child Nutrition Office for catering this meal. Mary and our amazing cafeteria crew put together the cutest baked potato bar, complete with perfectly cooked potatoes, homemade chili, and all the toppings. They even made us cookies!!! We appreciate Claremore Public Schools Child Nutrition Office and our fantastic team—Mary, Tina, and Phyllis—for making sure we’re fueled up for the evening! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Our last day of Read Across America was a good one!! We dressed like Cowboys and more wonderful guest readers. Some sweet kids from RSU Track and Cross Country team came and read to all 4th and 5th graders. Mrs. Shuck and Mrs. Basks both read to some classes and Cowboy Bart came and read to some little buckaroos!!! Mrs. Geranen’s son, grandson and daughter n law came for some baby snuggles and read to her class!!! What a fun week. We appreciate all our guest readers that came this week!! The kids LOVED it! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Our PTO is the best! Last night, they treated our teachers to an incredible meal before conferences, and we couldn’t be more grateful. A huge thank you to the Andersons for smoking the meat and to everyone who contributed delicious sides and desserts—it was all amazing! We truly appreciate our PTO for always taking such great care of us! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Being at school every day is a big key to success! A good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, and arriving on time help students do their best. When kids show up ready to learn, they build strong habits that lead to lifelong success! A huge shoutout to Mrs. Roller’s 1st-grade class for an incredible 26 days of perfect attendance! Today, we're celebrating School Social Worker Day, and we want to give a HUGE shoutout to our incredible Mrs. Burnshire! Mrs. Burnshire, you are so important to us, the calm in the storm, and the unwavering support our students and staff. Your dedication goes far beyond just a job – it's a genuine passion for helping every child thrive. Elementary school is a crucial time for building a strong foundation, and social workers like Mrs. Burnshire are the architects of that foundation. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Desy’s 2nd-grade class had a blast in music class as Mr. W taught them about the tongue drum! This unique instrument produces beautiful, soothing sounds, and the students did a fantastic job exploring rhythms and melodies. It’s always exciting to see our young musicians in action! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Another great day at Catalayah enjoying our Read Across America!!! Our students and staff really understood the assignment for this one!!!! Our friends at Red Crown Federal Credit Union came to read and we also had Mr. Phil from Patsy's, Darlene & PawLea from Volunteers from Youth, Mrs. Townsend, The Cat in the Hat, Chloe from Central Office and our very own Green Eggs and Sam!!! How fun!!!! Not only did we have a great dress up day and some fun readers but our cafeteria ladies made green eggs and ham and wacky cake!!!! They are amazing! We have enjoyed our first day of Read Across America. Our students brought the bling and the red!!! Coach Hurt was a wonderful guest reader!! He read his favorite book, The Foot Book to Mrs. Hall's 1st grade class. It's a little unclear who enjoyed it more, Coach Hurt or the kids! Mrs. Beasley's class also spent some time reading today. They read some Dr. Seuss books that some of them haven't read in a while. Tomorrow is dress like a Dr. Seuss Character or Blue. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
