All GT students, from the four elementary schools, went to the Oklahoma City Museum of Art 🎨. This three story tall museum field trip was sponsored by CPSF for Art Appreciation. Before the trip the GT students studied about Dale Chihuly, his life and glass artwork in various forms. At the museum students saw various artworks to include works by Chihuly. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

The next weekend challenge is whoever gets the most sales of the weekend of April 15-16 will get to come to school in a police car with Officer Haggen and breakfast at Daylight Donuts. In one week students have raised $3,266 and we still have four weeks to go! We are getting close to our goal of $12,000. If we reach this gold then Coach Johnson and Mrs. Willard will spend the night on the roof of the school! What time do you eat breakfast? What time do you eat lunch? In Mrs. Rippy’s Kindergarten class students turned their 🕕 clocks 🕗 to show when they do things in their lives. Telling time is a skill students learn that helps them bridge the gap between understanding and knowledge by linking their own hands-on experiences with what they know. It’s never too early to begin the time of your life! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Where does the decimal place go, how much money does it take? In Mrs. Colliers’s 4th grade WIN group they reviewed money 💲💲💲💲 using $100, $10, $1, 10¢ & 1¢. They also practiced decimal place values. Excellent way to spend your WIN Time. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

They are open daily from 8a - 4p (arrive by 3:30p). Lots of fun times at Roosa with Spring celebrations! Mrs. Page’s 1st grade class had a pink bunny as a student. Kindergartners took a walk with their baskets into a colorful field of eggs. Pre K counted eggs until their hearts delight! Have a happy spring! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Ahoy, Matey! Mr. Peters worked with 3rd and 4th graders and they performed, 🦜Pirates, The Musical! Dress rehearsal was held with Roosa students as the audience and the performance was in the evening. Aye Aye the musical was captivating! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

The 4th graders are studying Greek and Latin root words. These root words help to understand our language better. Great way to connect new and unfamiliar words to words you know and understand. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

In PE class, Coach Johnson had Kindergarten through 5th graders making waves with the parachute. While lifting the chute high above their heads they played the color change game! Students ran underneath the parachute if the color they were holding onto was called. The colors that were not called used their strong muscles to keep the parachute lifted in the air. Another parachute activity is The Campfire Tent. Students start by making some waves, then lift the parachute up, up, up and when instructed students sit on the inside of the parachute on their color making a big tent with the students inside. The Parachute is a great activity to get all the students involved in using large locomotor skills. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
