PTO is bringing back Santa Shop! Students will get the opportunity to shop for loved ones, teachers and friends while at school with the help of PTO volunteers. Gifts will be brought home hidden in a Reasor's bag ready to be wrapped. PTO will be showing all the gifts this week at lunchtimes so students can be thinking about what they want to buy. Take time to make a list and "budget" with your child now and send money on their shopping day on the schedule posted above. Thanks to generous donors, every student gets $1 to shop! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

1st grade read the book Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano. In this book Turkey convinces Farmer Jake to have pizza 🍕 instead of turkey🦃 for thanksgiving! After reading the book the 1st graders put up signs to “Save Turkey and eat pizza instead.” The 1st grade teachers surprised the students with 🍕 pizza🍕 for an afternoon snack! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

This book tells about Tony Sarg, a puppeteer who invented these balloons. Students were inspired to make their own balloons and have a parade at Roosa! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
Thanksgiving is this week and everybody loves that Chick-Fil-A sweet tea and lemonade! Bring it to your holiday gathering, corporate party, or home for dinner. This month Chick-fil-A will donate $1 to the Claremore Public School Foundation. CPSF funds class and teacher grants district-wide.

SNAG Golf is a first touch program to teach the game of golf to people of all ages. Coach Johnson set up SNAG Golf with driving and putting stations. This activity teaches hand eye coordination, striking an object and fine motor skills. The Snag Golf set was purchased with a grant from the Claremore Public Schools Foundation. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Students earn Starbucks for being recognized by the Roosa Staff for a variety of good behaviors including following expectations and being a good role model. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
Mrs. Shaw’s class did a Monster Theme for the month of October. Mrs. Cardwell joined along and brought a coding robot called Ozobot who teaches coding! Each student tried to catch a Monster with a TRAP! Watch out for Ozobot! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
Kindergarten through 2nd went to the Stephen Fite concert at the PAC. Stephen Fite is an award-winning musician and writer. His music is full of learning with an upbeat music that ranges from rock to Reggae. He encourages students to get out of their seats and learn with movement and song. Students and staff dressed up as jungle creatures! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Wednesday Walking PAL’s has been canceled for tomorrow, November 16, 2022.
If you are wondering…. What is Wednesday Walking PAL's? It is a Volunteers for Youth organization that meets in the east parking lot of St Cecilia Catholic Church at 7:15AM to begin walking to school at 7:20AM. At the Roosa Veterans Day assembly the 5th graders told about historical events that helped shape our nation. Throughout the assembly pre-k through 5th graders shared poems and songs focused on Veterans Day. Roosa was delighted to host such a wonderful event for the Veterans! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
