25 MILE STUDENTS
Happy New Year from Claremore Public Schools. As we enter into a new year, we all seem to take time to reflect on our lives, habits, choices from the past and contemplate how they impact our future. This reflection can lead to new inspiration, goals, resolutions, or a new focus. Instead of adding to it, some consideration may lead to removing obstacles or habits from our lives. Either way, we are all looking for a positive change. Whether you choose a resolution, a goal, a word - we'd love for you to share it with us on our FB page and maybe inspire others. Remember: Our students return on Tuesday, January 4th. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Missing flyers have begun to pop up all over the building! Peef the Christmas Bear has been bear-napped from Mrs. Stones' class! Students are diligently making and putting up flyers all around the building in hopes that their good friend Peef might return before their Christmas party. Peef always seems to get bear-napped around this time of year, who would do such a thing?!?!?! Hearts are broken and wishes are unwished without their special Christmas Bear! Good luck in your search, Mrs. Stones' class! We love how hard you worked on your flyers and we anxiously await Peef's safe return with you! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Happy Hero Wednesday! Even with all the fun and crazy Christmas activities, our heroes are shining!! Some of these heroes helped out in the classroom, some of them comforted friends that were having rough days, others cleaned around the school without being asked. No matter the kind action, we appreciate them all! Way to go, Westside students! ❤ "The hero is one who kindles a great light in the world, who sets up blazing torches in the dark streets of life for men to see by."- Felix Adler #CPSZEBRAPRIDE #HEROWEDNESDAY

Some of our 3rd-grade friends have been busy constructing Array City! An array refers to a set of numbers or objects that will follow a specific pattern. Arrays are visual tools that assist in teaching division and multiplication. They are a great tool that can help engage students with various learning styles. Look at the fantastic work these students did! We love their hard work and focus! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Westside proudly introduces one of our new teachers in the 3rd-grade wing, Mrs. Morgan Nelson!! ❤ "I’m married to my sweet husband, Cody. We have our adventurous boy who’s in kindergarten and a fur baby. I love to read, travel and be with friends and family. Fun fact, I have been to 8 different countries." Current projects - students have been researching and learning about Native American Indians and shared their knowledge with the class. Responsibility - making the choice to be reliable and dependable Compassion - ability to share another’s feelings or ideas Mrs. Nelson's students are picking up and helping around the school in the pictures below! This is a great example of responsibility. They are also pictured showing support for their classmate's sick family member! Great job everyone and thank you for sharing with us, Mrs. Nelson!
