Each week, we’re proud to recognize student-athletes who go above and beyond on the field and show great sportsmanship, effort, and team spirit.
This week’s standout players are...
👏 Krouix Hensley – 7th Grade - "He had a massive game, making his presence felt on both sides of the ball. He secured his first interception of the season, hauled in multiple key catches, and led a defense that forced three turnovers. His all-around effort helped power the 7th grade team to a thrilling 14-13 victory over Grove. "
👏 Lyric Watkins –8th Grade – "He continues to be one of our team leaders, setting the edge at defensive end and making a big impact on defense. This Thursday, he stepped up even more when our starting quarterback went down with an injury, taking on the role of QB and leading the offense. His versatility and leadership were key for the 8th grade team. "
Way to go, players! Your hard work, dedication, and team-first attitude make us proud!

Learning the scientific method has never been so fun — especially with bubbles! 🫧🧪
Mrs. Simmonds' students dove into hands-on science by exploring the scientific method through a bubbly lab experiment. From making observations to testing hypotheses, they got to see science in action — all while having a blast with bubbles!

Coach Wadsworth's class had a special opportunity to learn about finances firsthand! As part of a class project, students interviewed an adult, asking five important questions about money management. They then created posters showcasing their questions and answers, complete with artwork, a title, and a personal reflection on what they learned.
After the project, Janna Harding from Oklahoma Central Credit Union spoke to the students, sharing valuable insights and real-world knowledge to help our students better understand finances.

Known for his playmaking at wide receiver, he answered the call on defense and took over at outside linebacker. Brodie was flying around the field, making multiple tackles, and setting the tone with his relentless energy. His willingness to embrace a new role and impact the game on both sides of the ball showed his toughness and team-first mindset, making him a clear choice for Player of the Week."
👏 Boston Cape – 8th Grade – "He showed incredible mental toughness on both sides of the ball. As a running back, he kept fighting through contact, refusing to go down easy and setting the tone for the offense. On defense at outside linebacker, he stayed locked in, reading plays with discipline and making key stops when his team needed them most. His resilience and determination were the difference-maker all night."

Coach Dickey's classes are working on a 13 Colonies Gallery Walk! This interactive experience is designed to take students on a journey through the original 13 colonies, giving them a chance to explore how America was first settled and shaped. Along the way, they discovered fascinating facts, historical highlights, and fun stories about each colony’s unique role in our nation’s beginnings. What a fun way to learn about America's beginnings!

🎯Hands-on Learning in Native American Studies!🎯
Our Native American Studies class had an awesome experience this week — students got to try out blow darts as part of their learning about traditional Native American tools and hunting techniques!
It was a fun and safe way to connect with history in a hands-on, memorable way. Big thanks to RCCA Rogers County Cherokee Association for bringing learning to life!

In Mrs. Simmonds' science classes, pretzel detectives are on the case! Students are using their super observation skills to check out pretzels up close and make some smart guesses about them. What’s crunchy? What’s salty? What’s going on inside that twist? Science and snacks—what could be better?
