🎯Hands-on Learning in Native American Studies!🎯
Our Native American Studies class had an awesome experience this week — students got to try out blow darts as part of their learning about traditional Native American tools and hunting techniques!
It was a fun and safe way to connect with history in a hands-on, memorable way. Big thanks to RCCA Rogers County Cherokee Association for bringing learning to life!

🎨🎭🎶 It’s Arts in Education Week! 🎶🎭🎨
This week, we’re celebrating the incredible impact of the arts in our students’ lives at WRJH! From the vibrant energy in our drama classes, to the creativity flowing through our art rooms, to the beautiful harmonies heard in choir — the arts are alive and thriving in our school.
We believe that the arts aren’t just extracurricular — they’re essential. They help students express themselves, build confidence, think creatively, and connect with one another!

Each week, we’re proud to recognize student-athletes who go above and beyond on the field and show great sportsmanship, effort, and team spirit.
This week’s standout players are...
👏 Eli Tankersley – 7th Grade - "He is one of our most vocal leaders! He is a force on the offensive end whether it is blocking or catching."
👏 Ben Roberts –8th Grade – "He stepped up and played offensive line for the Zebras helping open up holes leading the 8th grades best rushing performance of the season."
Way to go, players! Your hard work, dedication, and team-first attitude make us proud!

Not only do they help with so many important tasks around the school office, but they also go the extra mile by picking up trash around campus. Their hard work keeps our school looking clean, fresh, and beautiful for everyone to enjoy!
You guys rock!

Whether it’s taking the lesson to the commons, walking and talking about the lesson through the halls, playing music, or just keeping things moving, Coach Dexter brings the energy every day. His students stay curious, active, and excited to learn!

Our principals are on the move — literally! They’re rolling through the halls with their brand-new mobile desks!
These rolling workstations help reduce hallway wandering and keep our principals closer to the classroom action. It's a fun and functional way to stay connected with students and staff all day long!

Students jumped into a hands-on lab to practice getting accurate measurements—because good science starts with good data!
A little focus, a lot of fun, and plenty of learning along the way!

For Fun Friday, students teamed up to build boats out of aluminum foil and test how many pennies they could float before sinking. The winning boat held a jaw-dropping 486 pennies before going under!
STEM + creativity + a little friendly competition = the perfect way to end the week!

Students moved through fun stations where they:
-Wrote original poems
-Compared the lyrical genius of Kendrick Lamar to the legendary Shakespeare
-Used random pictures to spark wild, imaginative stories
It was a day full of writing, thinking, and a little bit of fun chaos—just how we like it!
