πŸ”΄ What advice you would give your freshman self? I would tell myself that you can get through anything. Life will give you constant challenges, and you just have to take it day by day and put one foot in front of the other. It’s not the one who succeeds and wins that counts, it’s the person who strives and fails but gets up and keeps going anyway. 


πŸ”΄What does this accomplishment mean to you? This accomplishment symbolizes the importance of my hard work and the importance of the support I’ve received from my teachers, family, and friends. 

πŸ”΄ What has this journey taught you about yourself? It’s taught me that I have more inner resources than I realized. With the support of my family, friends and community, I’ve been able to count on and overcome circumstances that I could never have anticipated.


πŸ”΄ Looking back on your school experience at CPS what does being a Zebra mean to you? Being a Zebra means to be a part of an amazing community. It means to strive for excellence while embracing school spirit and always having fun on the way! 


πŸ”΄ What staff member made the biggest impact on your life and how in elementary school? Mrs.Mann 2nd grade teacher- Catalayah at the time.

Mrs. Mann has impacted my life by believing in me and being my biggest cheerleader along the way. Her compassion towards her students and I was truly amazing! She helped me academically and emotionally! Thank you Mrs. Mann!


πŸ”΄ What staff member made the biggest impact on your life and how in junior high? Mrs. Woods- Yearbook

Mrs. Woods has impacted my life by being someone who I could always lean on and come to. She comforted me and always made sure I was okay. Mrs.Woods was like family to me. Thank you Mrs. Woods. 


πŸ”΄ What staff member made the biggest impact on your life and how in high school?  Mr. Cummings- Pre-Ap and AP US History

Mr. Cummings has impacted my life by being someone who always made even the hardest days possible. During one of the years I struggled the most personally, I would always look forward to walking into class, even though it was APUSH. 


πŸ”΄ What is the ONE thing you absolutely take with you to college? I will take my strength and perseverance with me to college and all throughout my life. 


πŸ”΄ What activities you have been involved in?AP / Pre-AP Programs, Cheer, Chemistry Club, Christian Club, Class Officer, Concurrent, FCA, FUZE, Math Club, National Honor Society, Red Army, SADD, Student Council, ZUAC, and Work Experience / Shadow / Internship (Career Development Program).

πŸ”΄ What was the hardest part (challenges) you had to overcome to achieve this honor? The hardest part I’ve had to overcome to achieve this honor was focusing on class work and academic demands with personal obstacles and unexpected challenges.  


πŸ”΄ What are you most proud of in your high school career? I’m most proud of getting this wonderful recognition of valedictorian, cheering my team on the sidelines and competing for CHS Varsity Cheer, and serving my community and school through National Honor Society and Student Council.
