The Claremore Public Schools Foundation (CPSF) made history with its recent Grant Patrol event held on December 1st at Will Rogers Junior High in Claremore. This event marked a monumental achievement for the foundation as it allocated an unprecedented total of $60,012.62 in grants to teachers across all six CPS campuses.

A significant portion—over $35,000—of the grant sum supported the Art and Band departments at Will Rogers Junior High, emphasizing the foundation's commitment to nurturing creativity and artistic expression among students. The WRJH Art department received the largest grant in CPSF history with $26,623.84, providing new classroom art tables and chairs.

The Foundation, teachers, administrators, and students gathered for a pep rally at Will Rogers Junior High, honoring and celebrating staff members set to receive these grants district-wide. The event spotlighted the Foundation’s support for educators and their innovative teaching approaches.

Shanna O'Shields, Director of the Claremore Public Schools Foundation, expressed satisfaction with the Grant Patrol totals. "This reaffirms our commitment to empowering educators and benefiting student learning. The community's generosity and educators' dedication made these initiatives possible," she noted.

Established in 1998 to enhance education at Claremore Public Schools. Before adding today’s totals, the CPSF has allocated $1.7 million in grants, with $440,000 specifically for STEM education. The Foundation's invitation to the media aimed to showcase the impact and gratitude as the Grant Patrol honored deserving staff members district-wide.
