đź”´ What advice you would give your freshman self? Do your homework and relax.
đź”´ Through my journey to becoming a salutatorian, it has taught me to have patience and diligence in pursuing my goals.
đź”´What are you most proud of in your high school career? I was able to take German classes.
đź”´ What were the hardest challenges you had to overcome to achieve this honor? Learning to focus and take things one step at a time was the biggest challenge.
đź”´ What does this accomplishment mean to you? I am prepared to do well and meet my goals in college.
đź”´Looking back on your school experience at CPS, what does being a Zebra mean to you? It means having a close-knit group of friends.
đź”´What elementary staff member made the biggest impact on your life, and how? (Westside) Ms. Davis understood that I needed more challenging work than the other students. She was someone I could talk to if I was having a bad day. She made me feel included and was always a welcoming presence.
đź”´What junior high staff member made the biggest impact on your life, and how? (Will Rogers Junior High) Ms. Simpson taught us interactively. One time she made us pretend we were deer and food and we had to get enough food to survive. She didn't just give us notes and lecture all day.
đź”´What high school staff member made the biggest impact on your life, and how? Mrs. Hernandez was funny and hosted the knitting club. She made German class fun. We danced the maypole and ate German food while she taught us.
đź”´What activities have you been involved in? Academic Team, AP / Pre-AP Programs, Knitting Club, SAGA, World Language Club, Young Dems, Work Experience / Shadow / Internship (Career Development Program)
đź”´What is the one thing you will absolutely take with you to college? I will keep loving nature because it's brought me peace outside of school.
