Claremore Public Schools Welcomes Kimberly “Kim” Brogan as Claremont Elementary Assistant Principal

Claremore Public Schools announces Kimberly “Kim” Brogan as the new assistant principal at Claremont Elementary School. Brogan brings more than a decade of teaching experience, a strong background in instructional leadership, and a passion for supporting both students and educators.

She was drawn to Claremore Public Schools for its welcoming, small-town atmosphere and the success stories she had heard from friends whose children attend CPS. “I have always heard wonderful things about the district, and I am truly excited to be part of the Zebra family now,” Brogan said.

Although education was not her first career path, Brogan has always returned to it. Influenced by inspiring teachers, she recalls the lasting impact of their encouragement. “My heart has always been in helping and teaching others,” she said. “I can still picture my fifth-grade teacher, Mrs. Smith, writing in perfect handwriting on the chalkboard, and I can still hear Mrs. Maddox, my high school yearbook and psychology teacher, encouraging me to be confident and to lead.”

Brogan taught for 11 years in Tulsa Public Schools, primarily at Grimes and Robertson Elementary. Early in her career, a principal encouraged her to pursue a master’s degree in administration, which she completed at the University of Oklahoma–Tulsa along with the Principal’s Aspirant Academy. While teaching, she also served as a staff development teacher, supporting colleagues with data analysis and the professional learning community (PLC) process. In addition, she spent the last 8 years in Owasso Public Schools in those same roles and shadowing administrators, which has prepared her to step confidently into an assistant principal role.

In her new role, Brogan looks forward to working alongside Principal Mrs. Fay and the entire Claremont Elementary team. “I believe we are all teachers, no matter our role, and I am happy to be part of such a dedicated team,” she said. Her top priorities include ensuring every student feels safe, supported, and challenged to grow academically and socially, as well as providing staff with the resources, coaching, and encouragement they need to succeed.

Brogan describes her leadership style as collaborative and supportive. “I build trust, communicate clearly, and focus on creating a positive, student-centered environment,” she said. Her approach aligns with CPS’s core values of grit, community, innovation, excellence, and purpose. She emphasizes perseverance through challenges, building strong relationships, embracing innovative ideas, and keeping student growth at the center of every decision.

Outside of school, Brogan enjoys a full and active family life with her husband of 16 years, John, owner of R&B Insurance Solutions, and their three daughters: Haley, Julia, and Remi. Their family stays busy with softball, cheer, and other extracurricular activities. They also enjoy the outdoors, camping, trips to the beach, and spending time with their three dogs, five chickens, and bees.

Principal Mrs. Fay expressed her enthusiasm for her new teammate, “Kim brings a wealth of experience, a genuine love for students, and a strong belief in the power of relationships. She will be a tremendous asset to Claremont Elementary, our staff, and our families.”

Claremore Public Schools welcomes Kim Brogan to her new leadership role, where her passion for education and dedication to student success will continue to benefit the Zebra community.

It’s a Great Day to be a Zebra.
